Original vintage issues of the iconic Avant Garde magazine, published between 1968 and 1971.

Known for its provocative editorial content and groundbreaking art direction by legendary graphic designer Herb Lubalin, Avant Garde became one of the most visually influential publications of its era. Lubalin’s custom lettering for the magazine would go on to inspire the now-iconic ITC Avant Garde Gothic typeface.

Each issue is filled with incredible period photography, illustration, typography and editorial design — beautiful pieces for collectors of graphic design, photography, print ephemera and 1960s/70s culture.
